New Jersey After 3
In 2004, New Jersey After 3 was created as the first statewide public/private partnership of its kind in the nation to expand learning time across urban, suburban and rural communities. New Jersey After 3 works with public schools and community-based nonprofits to deliver an effective, research-based program model each school day - expanding learning opportunities for thousands of students by more than 33% in public schools statewide.
New Jersey After 3 programs: (1) keep children safe between the hours of 3 pm and 6 pm; (2) improve student achievement; (3) support working families; and (4) promote positive youth development.
In a time of shrinking school budgets and escalating education costs, New Jersey After 3 ensures cost-effective, high-quality activities and experiences that support students, families and entire school communities.
New Jersey After 3 programs provide a unique environment where students find relevance in their math, reading and science classes, while immersing themselves in other subjects which no longer fit in the traditional school day frame.
